Heidi Klum’s Boldest, Barest Sunbathing Instagram Posts

Heidi Klum has long professed her preference for her birthday suit over any other type of attire.

As far back as 2008, Klum said she’d pick nudity over a bikini any day: “When there’s no person in sight, it’s coming off!”

And more recently, she said she doesn’t even wait for the all-clear before stripping down. “I’ve always been very open with my body. When I’m suntanning in the backyard, I might not have a top on. I’m European,” she told PEOPLE in 2025. “My kids don’t know me any other way and are probably more easygoing with their bodies because of it.”

(Although she did confess her kids do ask her to occasionally cover up: “I’m super comfortable naked today. To the point where my kids are like, ‘Mom, I have a friend coming over.’ And I’m like, ‘Have I ever been naked in the backyard when a friend was coming over?’ As soon as someone is coming, I put my top on. But if no one is there, sun’s out, bums out. I just don’t like tan lines because I wear so many different outfits. I don’t want to have straps anywhere from tan lines. It’s very strategic.”)

She also loves to celebrate that total comfort with her body on Instagram, often sharing a cheeky (or strategically covered) snapshot of her poolside or hanging by the beach in the buff.
