NYC first lady Rama Duwaji sports eyebrow-raising dress at City Hall ceremony

First Lady Rama Duwaji sported a disheveled dress made from a pile of Knicks T-shirts and a pair of widely loathed sneaker-sandals at the team’s historic City Hall party Thursday.

The 28-year-old artist wore at least three “NBA Finals” shirts layered over a long black skirt, with two of the tops wrapped around her waist.

Duwaji, 28, paired the eyebrow-raising, faux-bohemian look with orange pom-pom earrings.

She also wore a $150 pair of Nike Rifts, a split-toed sandal that have been dubbed so ugly they’re “controversial” — evoking a “cloven hoof “ with  “chunky rubber soles.”

The first lady — who played a key behind-the-scenes role in the Mamdami campaign’s digital strategy and branding — was styled by 2026 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist Miss Claire Sullivan.

Sullivan,  who has dressed stars such as Lady Gaga, told Vogue that the outfit channeled the “DIY spirit of downtown New York.”

The shirts were sourced from street vendors last week, she told the magazine.

Her fashion fail matched that of her husband, who wore a Josh Hart jersey beneath his blazer — but over his shirt and tie.

Duwaji sparked fashion-world controversy in January, when she wore a pair of $630 “artisan” leather boots from the high-end designer Miista to her democratic socialist husband’s mayoral swearing-in ceremony.

Critics at the time said the luxury look, which was on loan from the company,  flew in the face of the politician’s “everyman” image and called it  “tasteless.”

Duwaji later caught heat for alarming social media posts in which she praised Palestinian terrorists and bashed Israel in her teens and early 20s.

In April, she expressed regret for the “hurt” caused by the posts she made on X and Tumblr, but failed to directly apologize for the troubling content.
